Spy Girl: Betrayed

Hey everybody! This is a new story I have written so I hope you like it!

Ring! The bell signaling the end of the last day of school sounded. I, America Cush, found myself shrouded by people and bombarded with questions. Being voted “Most Athletic Girl”, just plainly being the most popular girl, and dating the hottest guy in all of Malibu Jr. High School, everyone wants to know what you’re doing over the summer.
“What are you doing this summer?” One girl asks.
“Are you hanging out with anyone this weekend?” Another asks.
“Actually, I’m pretty busy this summer. I’m going to this camp and stuff.” I answered. That’s when I saw Tyler Clain, my boyfriend, waving at me. “Gotta go!” I said and broke free of the crowd. “Hey you!” I said as I reached Tyler. We were Just out the door when tons of cameras and TV people surrounded us. And there she was, Paris Rouge, the morning news anchor for Wake Up Malibu! and After School by Teen Monthly. I watch her every morning before school and here she was standing right in front of me.
“Hello Malibu teens! I’m Paris Rouge and this… is After School. I’m here with Malibu Jr. High’s own America Cush and this is…” Paris says.
“Tyler Clain, America’s boyfriend.” Tyler butts in.
“Ohh…boyfriend.  Well anyways, America what are you doing this summer?” Paris asked
“I’m going to a camp.”
“Which camp?”
“Camp Sleep-Away. Which, by the way, the bus is here to pick me and Tyler up. So if you’ll excuse me… I’ll…er…We’ll be going. Bye!” I said as I pulled Tyler along to the bus.
“That was close.” Tyler said as we sat down, “You think they’ll try to follow us?”
“Probably not. It’s such a long way to the coast that they’ll get tired of walking that far. Wait, I just noticed something. What if one of us makes it and the other one doesn’t. How are we going to hang out?”
“Don’t worry, America. It’ll be fine. Spy tryouts are easy and as a spy, I already make it in and I have no doubt you’ll make it. You are the most athletic in the entire Malibu School, elementary, Jr. High, and High school. You’ll do fine.” Tyler said reassuringly.
“What if I don’t make it? What’ll I do all summer long?”
“What’re you talking about? You’re the most popular girl in Malibu Jr. High. Everyone’ll want to hang out with you.” Tyler said. He was right. Everyone wants to hang out with me over the summer. What was I thinking not having anything to do? Claire would take me to the mall, Allie would go get ice cream with me, and Derrick, my guy friend, would buy us season passes for Waterworld, only the best waterpark in all of California, because the tickets were on sale for $19.99 a pass. Tyler was right also because I KNOW I’ll do well in spy tryouts I just needed to sit back relax and just wait.

Chapter 2
We finally reached our destination: The UWSTG, a.k.a. the Under Water Spy Training Grounds. We had to be careful that no one followed us which was hard one because I was on TV that afternoon a few hours ago and two because it was the first day of summer and apparently everyone decided to go to the beach. We ended up not being noticed because there was a dolphin that swam up towards the coast and like everyone was in the water. That was good.
“Wow. This place is amazing!” I said as we entered the training grounds.
“Yes, Miss Cush, it is…amazing.” A voice in a darkened corner said. That’s when the owner of the voice flipped and spun out, exposing a female agent.
“Oh my gosh! You’re the writer of Teen Monthly’s Spy section: Undercover, Sarah M. Rose! I loved your article about the Flip and Wave and how you could use in two ways.”
“Yes. I didn’t know you got the special spy issue, though. Were you a spy already?” Sarah asked
“Oh I already knew about spies. As the best Jr. High athlete, I was invited to train here.” I said matter-o-factly.
“Ahh…well then, Miss Cush, I have a feeling you will definitely get in to our top secret agency for spy teens. Over here.” Sarah said as she took me over to the training center where she explained how we were to do the training. We get judged by secrecy, agility and whether or not we were eliminated during or at the end of the round. I and two other teens, including Tyler, made it to the end. This means we are in the agency but we also get a chance to beat the best teen spy in the entire agency worldwide.
